The truth is that both missions are aligned –

Norwood sawmills are good for the environment:

They are owned and used by private individuals who selectively and carefully harvest trees from their own land. Contrast that to industrial producers who favour clear-cutting, high-impact logging roads and transportation over long distances.

Norwood sawmills are also exceptionally efficient, converting much more of every log into valuable boards and beams as compared to industrial mills which squander more as sawdust and waste.

I am proud of the positive impacts that Norwood sawmills have had both on the lives of Norwood owners and their families, but also on the health and preservation of our forests.
